Owner / Head Instructor
Professor Antonio, originally from Virginia, is known to be one of the highest-level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu leg lockers in the world. He is a 4x World Gi & NoGi Champion, 2x Pan Gi & NoGi Champion, 8x American Nationals Gi & NoGi Weight/Absolute Champion, a 28x IBJJF Weight/Absolute Champion and a 23x IBJJF Weight/Absolute Medalist. Being a USAF Veteran, a husband, and a father of 2, you can find him teaching and training alongside his students.

JENNIFER LOPEZ
Owner / Head of Operations
Mrs. Honeybadger, commonly known as “Miss Jen”, is a mom of 2 and a purple belt who has been training since 2016. As the Head of Operations, Miss Jen ensures the smooth functioning of daily operations to guarantee a positive experience for both students and instructors. She also maintains our facility, keeping it a clean, safe, and top-notch learning environment. In 2021, she became an IBJJF American Nationals Champion and a 3x IBJJF medalist.

HOSEA KIM
Morning Class Instructor
Originally from Oahu, Hawaii, Professor Hosea served as a proud veteran in the U.S. Air Force. He has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2000 and also competed as a Pancrase and Amateur MMA fighter from 2002-2004. He is a multiple-time medalist in NAGA and Grapplers Quest, a Mr. Olympia Submission Grappling Champion, and a Best of the West Tournament Champion.

Fundamentals Instructor
Professor Tim, originally from Waianae, Hawaii, has been training under Professor Antonio for 9 years. He is a retired USAF Veteran, husband, and father. He is an IBJJF Worlds Master Gi Champion, an IBJJF Phoenix Open Gi and NoGi Champion, an IBJJF American Nationals Gi Champion & 2x NoGi Silver Medalist, an IBJJF Pan American Championship Medalist, a 4x Five Grappling Gi & NoGi Champion, a Jiu Jitsu World League Champion, and a NAGA Championship Champion.

KELI MANGLOÑA
Kids’ Instructor
Professor Keli, a native of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, is an active-duty member of the USAF and a proud husband and father to 4 beautiful children. He started his Mixed Martial Arts journey in 2005 and fought at a professional level from 2009 to 2019. As a formidable BJJ competitor, he has trained and competed in hundreds of competitions across 7 countries. He is a 2x IBJJF British National Champion, Silver Medalist in the Korea Spyder Invitational Championship, and Bronze Medalist in the IBJJF World NoGi & IBJJF Pan American NoGi Championships.

CHRISTIAN LASTIMOZA
Kids’ Instructor
Professor CJ is a devoted husband, proud father of 2, and an active-duty member of the USAF. Originally from the island of Guam, he started his BJJ journey in 2009 and became a Champion and 3x Medalist in the Marianas Open. Through his time in service, he became an IBJJF American Nationals Gi Champion, an Alaska State Championship NoGi Champion, an 8x ASBJJ Gi and NoGi Medalist, and an IBJJF American Nationals NoGi Silver Medalist.

JAIME L. VELASQUEZ III
Head Nellis Instructor
Coach Jay, originally from Victorville, CA, is a dedicated BJJ Brown Belt and a proud 21-year retired veteran of the United States Air Force. He is the main coach at our Nellis Location and embarked on his BJJ journey in 2017 alongside his wife and two children. He is a Grappling Industry Champion, a Five Grappling Champion, and a 2x Silver Medalist in the IBJJF San Diego Open 2023.

Strength & Conditioning Instructor
Coach Makayla is a mom, a soon-to-registered nurse, and a brown belt who started her BJJ journey in 2017. She is an IBJJF American Nationals NoGi Champion, 2x Five Grappling Champion, IBJJF American Nationals Gi Silver Medalist, and a NoGi Worlds Medalist.

Coach Josh, a brown belt with a reputable wrestling background, started his pursuit of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2014. He is an IBJJF Sacramento Open Champion, a Phoenix International Open Champion, and an IBJJF American Nationals Medalist.

Summerlin & Nellis Kids’ Instructor
Coach Alex, a proud husband and father, started his jiu-jitsu journey in 2015. Originally from Stockton California, he expanded his Jiu-Jitsu repertoire by traveling to different countries thanks to his career in the USAF. Some of his notable achievements include being a Silver Medalist in the Alaska State BJJ Championships and in Grappling Industries in 2022.

Junior Kids’ Coach
Emma has been training jiu-jitsu since she was 4 years old and received her yellow/white belt in 2022. She became a junior coach in 2023 and assists the coaches by leading warm-up drills and demonstrations in kids’ classes!

Coach Tara, a devoted wife and mother of two BJJ enthusiasts, holds a purple belt and earned a silver medal at Grappling Industries Las Vegas. Beyond her personal achievements, Tara passionately imparts her knowledge to young students, fostering a supportive community in her classes while embodying the perfect balance between family life and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Coach Richard is a passionate Jiu Jitsu practitioner dedicated to mastering the art of grappling. Years of disciplined training since 2017 and a commitment to continuous improvement. Focused on the mental and physical aspects of Jiu Jitsu, blending technique with strategic thinking. With 24 years of Active Duty in the US Air Force, he is eager to use his experience and influence to contribute positively to the Jiu Jitsu community.

Coach Jaime, a devoted father of two and a proud US Navy Veteran. Embarking on his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2021, he swiftly ascended to the Blue Belt level, proudly earning his promotion on the podium. Securing 2 gold medals at Five Grappling Industries and another gold at the Fuji BJJ Championship. Beyond accolades, his passion lies in fostering a learning and growth mindset.
